The striker was forced to be substituted on the half hour mark against Billy Davies’ men, with Andre Moritz coming on in his place.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, manager Dougie Freedman confirmed the news and also offered an update on the shape of the team ahead of Saturday’s clash with Reading.
“Jermaine is going to miss the game through a hamstring injury – it’s not quite his hamstring, but it’s his gluteal muscle,” Freedman explained. “He will be out for roughly three weeks.
“Aside from that, we also have Craig Davies coming back into the squad and Adam Bogdan is available for selection.”
