Owing to the international break, a limited number of Bolton players were in action for their respective loan clubs over the weekend.

Cian Bolger once again played the full 90 for League One side Colchester, who were defeated 2-1 by Swindon Town on their own patch. The result leaves John Ward’s side in 15th position in the league, three points clear of the drop zone.

Elsewhere in League One, Tom Eaves was an unused sub for Rotherham in their impressive 3-0 away win at Stevenage. The win moves the Millers to within striking distance of the play-offs.

In the Conference Chris Lester started for Chester, who drew 1-1 with Luton Town. Conor Wilkinson was an unused substitute in the same game. Chester now find themselves in the Conference relegation zone, a point away from safety.
