Why aren't the fans organising protests, boycotts or even hit men? Why hasn't a live pig been released onto the pitch wearing Bolton colours? Why isn't there a shortage of bedsheets in Bolton shops? Come on people, where has your fight gone?
The club seems to post a bigger loss by the year and no one seems to care. The manager has seemingly done the impossible and made a dire squad even weaker, the players are devoid of any passion or skill, and the football on offer is worse than anything Gary Megson ever served up. So what are we doing about it? The answer is sod all!
Can you imagine this happening 15-20 years ago? Of course not. Back then there would be 500 protesters outside the ground every single day until someone from the club was forced to address them. The manager would have to be smuggled out of the ground, and the players would be abused in the street and in their homes. When did we all become so civilised? When did we stop caring?
Yes, we might have a bit of a rant on Bolton Nuts but that's about it. There was a time when a Saturday afternoon defeat spoiled our whole weekend and we refused to go out or see granny. But now it seems most Bolton fans are in Nando's by 6pm and the result is already forgotten.
This has got to stop people! We have to take our club back from the fat cats who have stripped it of any character or passion. Are you with me?
